I love this place. After a long life in Chicago, this is one neighborhood that I can relate to. The view on my page is from our ex-apartment two years ago. The colors, the lake, the trees, the people, lake shore drive, the food here gives me the vibrancy I need to live. Hope you can visit sometime.
I would gladly take you to Promontory Point for the view and to Calypso for their fried plantains. Recently our friends visited us at our new, yet very old home at Hampton House and said "you do look happy here"! Rightly so. Hampton House was a hotel in the early 1900s and it is fun to see those old pictures on it's Wikipedia page.
